The National Policy Advocacy Centre (NPAC) of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has taken another significant step in advancing its Save Energy, Boost Profits campaign by engaging the Bank of Industry (BOI) in discussions for a strategic partnership.
On Tuesday August 5, 2025, NPAC’s Executive Director, Dr. Chidiebere Onwumere, welcomed a two-man delegation from BOI on a courtesy visit to the Centre. The visit followed a proposal earlier sent to the Bank, outlining opportunities for collaboration on the Chamber’s Green Energy Campaign a programme designed to encourage businesses in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to embrace renewable energy solutions.
The meeting explored potential areas of synergy, with both organizations sharing a commitment to helping businesses reduce energy costs, improve operational efficiency, and transition to more sustainable models. This aligns closely with NPAC’s recent efforts to scale its Energy Efficiency Campaign, first launched in May 2025 with the active participation of BOI.
“Our partnership with BOI will be critical in providing access to renewable energy financing for ACCI member businesses,” Dr. Onwumere stated. “This will empower more enterprises to invest in clean energy technologies that reduce costs while boosting profitability.”
The collaboration is expected to open doors for capacity building, awareness creation, and financing opportunities targeted at SMEs and large-scale businesses looking to integrate green technology into their operations.
This engagement further underlines NPAC’s mission to drive policies and partnerships that position the private sector at the forefront of Nigeria’s green economy transition.
